Derek Stockley (1946 – 2018) was an established painter. He was primarily influenced by the Abstract Expressionism period of the 50s and 60s. Derek’s art took form from a surrealist perspective, he’d once said that painting was a way for him to explore and articulate the ‘deep subconcious’.
